What is Spokast! Soundtrak?
Greetings from the Soundtrak team. Get a peek at who we are, and what we plan to do.
Over the past two years, I’ve immersed myself in Spokane’s music scene. From small, intimate performances at local gems like The Chameleon to the big shows at the Spokane Arena, I’ve witnessed the energy, passion, and talent that make this city such a special place for the arts. Every experience has inspired me and brought me to this exciting next chapter: Soundtrak.
When I reflect on these past two years, I feel like I’ve attended more live shows than ever before in my life. Music became my bridge to Spokane’s artistic heartbeat—a way to connect with the city's soul and the incredible people shaping its culture. At every show, I saw performances and moments where the music brought people together and built a sense of community.
What stood out the most during these shows wasn’t just the music itself—it was the people. The artists pouring their hearts into their craft, the audiences showing up to support them, and the venues creating space for creativity to thrive. The Spokane music scene is alive and electric, and every time I stepped into a venue, it reminded me of how much talent and potential this city holds.

But the more shows I attended, the more I realized something was missing. Spokane is buzzing with energy, talent, and an audience eager to show up—but how do we get more people to discover what’s happening? How do we make sure the artists and events flying under the radar get the attention they deserve? Those questions stuck with me, growing louder with each show I attended.
I realized I needed to do something. I wanted to create a space where Spokane’s music and arts scene could be celebrated, supported and shared more meaningfully—a space where artists, promoters, and fans could come together.
That’s how Soundtrak was born.

Soundtrak is a project fueled by everything I’ve experienced over the last two years. It’s more than just a podcast; it’s a platform dedicated to amplifying Spokane’s music and arts scene. It’s a space to tell the stories of the artists, highlight the shows you can’t miss, and provide a resource for anyone who loves live music as much as I do.
At the heart of Soundtrak is a monthly podcast where we’ll dive deep with artists, promoters, and industry insiders. We’ll share their stories, hear their perspectives, and spotlight the events shaping Spokane’s music landscape. But Soundtrak goes beyond the podcast. It will also include an online hub—a curated calendar of upcoming shows, event highlights, and ways for artists and fans to get involved.
And we’re taking it a step further with Soundtrak: Live Sessions. These Tiny Desk-style performances will give Spokane-based artists a space to showcase their talent in an intimate and unique way, all filmed right here at Spokast! Studios.

Soundtrak will be produced with the help of Spicy Ketchup, one of Spokane’s most dynamic DJs and music producers; Zach Dahmen, a seasoned music industry veteran; and Jaiz Boyd, stage and fashion designer, community builder, and event organizer. Together, we’re building something that will connect the dots for Spokane’s music scene in an exciting and intentional way.
But we’re not stopping there. In the first quarter of 2025, we plan to launch a quarterly (to start) industry night—a dedicated space for artists, promoters, and professionals in the music industry to connect. It’s all about building relationships and strengthening the music community in Spokane through collaboration and conversation.
Our goal with Soundtrak is simple: to create a trusted, inspiring resource for Spokane’s music and arts community. Whether you’re an artist, a fan, or just someone looking for your next great night out, Soundtrak will guide you to everything the Inland Northwest and beyond has to offer.

It’s incredible to think that all of this started with a simple love for live music. Over the past two years, I’ve been so fortunate to witness Spokane’s creative spirit firsthand. Soundtrak is my way of giving back to the community that’s inspired me and celebrating the artists and fans who make this city what it is.
This is all a work in progress, and over the next month, we’ll be announcing parts of it bit by bit. As we gear up for our official launch at the end of December, I want to say thank you. To the artists who’ve shared their talents, the venues that have opened their doors, and the fans who continue to show up—you’re the reason this exists. Spokane deserves a space that uplifts and celebrates its music and arts scene, and I’m so honored to be a part of it.
Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare for the launch of Soundtrak. In the meantime, keep showing up to those live shows. Every ticket you buy, every song you stream, and every artist you support makes a difference.
Let’s make some noise, Spokane. The best is yet to come.

I’m Brennon Poynor, the creator and host of Spokast! What started as a way to share the stories of Spokane’s amazing people has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with so many talented artists, musicians, and creatives who make this city special.
Through Spokast!, I’ve found a true passion for amplifying voices and building a sense of community. Now, with my newest project, Soundtrak, I’m excited to take that a step further and create a space that celebrates Spokane’s music and arts scene in a meaningful way. I’m just a guy who loves this city, its stories, and its potential, and I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to help showcase all the incredible things happening here.
